@Jen thanks so much for sharing, so glad to hear you had a good experience and congratulations ❤️
I had an emergency c section in October with royal Sussex and the team were brilliant, midwife’s were lovely the whole way through my pregnancy they were all great as I got gestational diabetes then preeclampsia but they were very on it x
I had planned c section in Jan 2024. I loved the experience. The after care not so much as they were very short staffed and my partner couldn’t stay so was pretty stressful for me but the staff that were on duty were all so lovely!!
I gave birth at royal Sussex July 2023 , had a traumatic birth but all the doctors and midwives were lovely looked after me properly . Couldn’t have done it without them X
Planned c-section at Princes Royal. Can’t fault them. 🥰 good luck xx
Emergency c-section at the Royal Sussex in October 2021, had to stay in hospital for 6 days, all the doctors and midwives were so attentive and glad we stayed for so long as wouldn’t know what to do with the baby if I was out of the hospital earlier.
@Lucy was this at royal Sussex? Glad you had a positive experience! X
Thanks all, appreciate your replies! X
@Lizzie sorry yes, Royal Sussex
My midwife has got me thinking I’ll go for Princess Royal - less busy, more greenery around, more modern apparently and much easier to get parked which is an absolute nightmare at royal Sussex. I’ll be having a planned c-section so don’t mind the extra drive x
I was due to have a planned c section at royal Sussex but I went into labour early 2 weeks ago and royal Sussex were apparently full and short staffed, so they sent me to princess royal. I was gutted at first as I had no experience there. But honestly I’m so glad it worked out the way it did, the staff were all so lovely and attentive at princess royal, plenty of staff too so felt really well cared for, less busy as in the ward was never full. Easy to park. I’d choose there again personally!
I had an amazing experience at Royal Sussex despite being induced 🫶🏼
Highly reccomend a homebirth if you can, the homebirth team here are amazing and I had such a positive experience giving birth to my little boy at home in Nov 24 (first baby) 🥰
I've opted for Princess Royal as I know people who have had pretty awful experiences at Royal Sussex. I had my first son at Eastbourne and was gutted when I found out that wasn't an option for this one.
I had a planned C-section at the Royal Sussex and I loved it. Thought my level of care was great. This was January 2025
