@Mara I'm getting treated Friday but my worry is that I've had it for 3 months with out really noticing it until now and I'm worried baby isn't ok 😭
First of all, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about, your body is doing a lot right now, and noticing changes like this is exactly what you're supposed to do, especially during pregnancy. It’s good that you’re going to the doctor on Friday. BV is actually pretty common in pregnancy, and while it’s best to treat it early, your OB or provider will know exactly what to do to make sure both you and your baby are safe moving forward. The fact that you’re addressing it now is what matters.
Do you think it’s possible it’s not BV? I’ve noticed an increase in discharge for sure in the second trimester, it doesn’t have any smell to it but sometimes has a very mild yellow/green tint. I’ve had BV before and it was really obvious there was an issue. I’d have them text you for it before you treat it 😊 increased discharge is very common in the second trimester.
Test not text!
Don't feel embarrassed. The pregnancy hormones are to blame. Many pregnant women will get a BV/yeast infection/UTI because of it. It's super important to get seen and potentially treated, though, as it can harm the baby. By know you're not at fault for this att all (during pregnancy or not).
