New pump recommendations

So my first baby I used Medela double swing maxi pump.. I got a new one twice in the year under warranty due to pump failing. Now 9 weeks into my second baby and using the same Medela pump I didn't use much at the end of my first pumping journey.. it's been irritating me as the membranes keep getting sucked and pulling my nipple as an area of negative pressure is being created. The flanges arnt staying and sitting where they are supposed to. I bought new ones and it's still doing it occasionally. Doing my head in. It annoys me that even if I bought a new one and it did it again, they'd tell me to buy new parts which I'd spend £50 on and it will probably do the same thing as Ive done it with this one. Tried contacting Medela no response. It's so frustrating. Replacing the membranes is £25!!!!! Wtf! And it hasn't even solved the problem and doesn't sit in the frame, they seem to warp. Any pump recommendations.. I pump 5 times a day 20 mins a time. Double pump I'd want. Preferably doesn't have to be always plugged in as I use it in the car sometimes. Any recommendations?! 😭 From a frustrated mum of a Medela pump

Pumpables and baby buddha are supposed to be really good, but ordering from their websites is really expensive. I have the medela freestyle and I'm really enjoying it. I'm not going to ask you if you got the right flange size as you probably know better. Alternatively Ardo Alyssa is okay

@Saila sorry I meant membranes not flanges! Can you send a pic of what your Medela pump looks like?

I like the spectra pump

@Christina what one is it that you have? How long have you had it?

@Saila what type of membranes are with that? Is it the same as mine?

@Lucy I have the spectra s1 and s2. S2 I got last pregnancy and S1 I got this pregnancy. I prefer S1 because it has a chargeable battery so you don’t need to plugged into the wall all the time. I have been using the S1 for two months and I used the S2 for 6 months last pregnancy.

@Lucy yes, maybe your connectors are not closing properly? It would then make sense why the membrane is getting sucked and the flanges are not sitting right

@Saila they click like they always have? Not loose.. it's almost like the membranes arnt sitting in the bit they're supposed to sit in and get sucked into where the clear tube is plugged in therefore then sucking but not realising as membranes are sucked in not retracting back? Really annoying. Maybe worth seeing if connectors are not right but they're plastic so can't work out why they would be the problem. Also costs alot to replace and then if it doesn't work another £30 wasted 😩😩 I'm starting to hate Medela. I emailed them and they haven't responded and it's been a week

you got the right size flanges? I had to change during my journey, I have the same one as you @Saila Medela hands free freestyle, I have had to replace it once as the unit goes barmy sometimes changing pump pressure or not responding but the second 1 has been better. I change membranes every 2 months ish x
