@Courtney we always wait 20-30 minutes after a feed. But yeah even changing her diaper she gets the silent reflux. So mid change we end up needing to flip her to her stomach or side otherwise she starts choking on her reflux. But I am just so so tired! So it’s not just her bassinet she just can’t physically be on her back 😩
Talk to her pediatrician about getting a wedge for the crib mattress. There are some that are approved and considered safe, but I wouldn't order just anything off of Amazon. I think we used a folded blanket with our second when he was a little older, for sinus issues. I believe a wedge was suggested with our first, but we ended up figuring out it was a cow milk protein intolerance issue.
@Audrey I didn’t even know they made that sort of thing! I will definitely ask. Yeah my son had two different food intolerances as a baby and it just about broke me because of how hard it was. So I’m terrified for her to have anything cause I can’t do it again 😩
How do you know if your baby has silent reflex like what are the signs?
@Hodan so when she is laying down it sounds like she is choking on liquid. So she is having reflux it just doesn’t come all the way out. We also have to physically flip her over if it’s really bad because she does need to spit out a little.
Always try laying her down feet first. We’re currently experiencing the same thing with the bassinet - she sleeps anywhere BUT her bassinet. So we’ve been using the crib and sleeping on the floor… it’s not ideal but after being up for 3+ hours between 2am - 5am, we get kinda desperate. It’s just something about the bassinet my baby doesn’t like
