Bottle feeding/pumping

My baby is breast fed but luckily does take a bottle here and there! I have a hen do at end of this month, I will be away from baby for 2 full days but not over night. My plan was to pump lots of milk for my husband to bottle feed him while I’m gone but honestly I haven’t really had time and my husband ended up using most of the milk I did pump as he wanted to do some bed time feeds, so going to give formula (he has had this before also so I know no issues). My question is how often/how much will he need to feed our son throughout the day? I know this will vary from baby to baby but he is often fed to sleep for his naps, unless he is out and about and falls asleep in the carrier/pram, so I don’t know if it’s better to do smaller bottles more frequently? He normally feeds every 1-3 hours. Also, how often will I need to pump throughout the day whilst away from him? Does every 2 hours sound right given how much baby is feeding? I know pumps don’t remove milk as well as babies do 🤔 Any advice if you bottle feed or have been in a similar situation would be very much appreciated!

How old is your little one? I bottle feed my girly and she has 7oz every 3-4 hours in the day. I would say small amounts frequently maybe if he usually feeds every 1-3 hours.

@Abigail thanks! He’s 5 months

Id do every 2 hours to keep that supply up, we’ve just had the same and i had a dip in supply because of it she feeds every 1-3 hours normally but when i was away i didn’t do it as often as i should which caused a dip im only just getting it back up 🙈

@Tasha oh no! Well thanks for sharing and hope it picks back up soon!
