For EBF babies the recommended amounts are 1-1.5oz for every hour away from mum, with a single feed being no more than 4oz to avoid stretching their stomach. BM adapts to babies nutritional needs so the volume of milk doesn't need adjusting like it does with formula. That being said, babies aren't text books so the recommended amounts will vary slightly baby to baby - just use this as a starting point x
Great to know as I’ve been giving 3 ounce bottles. Might up to 4 but cut off there. Still breastfeeding at home and through the night. Just such a hassle pumping on days off
When I was exclusively pumping (up til recently) my baby had roughly 4oz every 3 hours. However I know most / many babies have a bigger appetite than my boy and have closer to 5 or even 6oz every 3 hours
