Returning to work

Looking for some advice please… I will be returning to work 2 weeks before baby turns 1. I’ll be away from baby for nearly 12 hours on each shift (2/3 per week). Baby is EBF and won’t take expressed milk or formula from a bottle or her straw cup (only takes sips of water). I am hoping to breast feed before and after my shift and hopefully milk will adjust. I would rather not pump at work, especially as baby is unlikely to take it anyway. Can I give cows milk as a drink 2 weeks before she turns 1? I’ve read that some babies will have water during the day and milk in the evening time. We also cosleep so I feel like baby will make up for it over nighttime (I’m gonna be shattered 😅). Anyone have any similar experiences with this? TIA x

I spoke to my health visitor last week about this as I’m in a similar position. 3 weeks before his birthday and I’m not getting enough off when I express to send bottles. She said he’ll be absolutely fine with water if he’s getting two big feeds but I’m fine to use cows milk too

@Jade this is really reassuring thank you x

my daughter was the same and she would just have water and food with dad and then feed from me upon being reunited and in the night 🙈 she took cow’s milk at nursery but only water from one of us x

@Abby what did you do about her naps? I’m in a similar situation but my baby is allergic to all dairy and egg.
