I actually made a list the other day! She says 55 words/phrases now
Around 20 words by now, it’s an even mix between and me and Mrs Rachel teaching these words, some came from her songs or word segments and the others came from me narrating everything and copying how Mrs Rachel teaches stuff lol I also use flash cards which she likes so she can say quack and meow when she sees those animals because of some dollar tree cards lol took like two weeks but impressive when she was only 12 months at that time
@Ashlynn what??? At 15! Months? What’s the list? Teach us your ways!
Wow... I feel like my kiddo is so behind...
@Ashlynn HOW?!
Mine is saying mama, dada, nana for her grandma and wow when she sees something and gets surprised by it. Only once she said quak per ducks 😄. I feel like she is so behind but the speech therapist told me get worried if she turns 19 months and still says only mama and dada, before that is too early
My son says mama, dada and nana. His pediatrician wants him to get evaluated by a speech therapist since he’s been saying those for a while and hasn’t improved on words. But within the last month his communication skills have improved a lot. Like he just started waving and blowing kisses. She said he was so focused on learning to walk he didn’t care about learning to talk😅
My son says mama, dada, nana, papa, And hi. Some days he babbles / says words often and other days barely speaks and some days just makes random noises 🤷♀️
At our 15 month appointment, the pediatrician asked if we were saying 6 words. (Which is how many ours says) That was her base. She said as long as baby is meeting other social standards it’s okay if they aren’t saying many words yet.
Just Dada
aside from mama/dada our baby says hi, bye, night night, wow, quack, woof, thank you, ball, no, and boo. she also signs more, please, eat, and drink. babbles like crazy all day long and does some sounds like mmm when she eats something good or gasping when she sees something cool. she also understands a lot more words or directions like come here/go there, build something, and understands when shes asked questions about people or things she knows (where’s dada?)
I lost count, but she doesn't say every word every day or anything. She says hi, hey, thank you, yeah, no, banana, "I did it," oh, door, baby, Doodle (one of our cats), bubble, all done, etc. Lots of little things. She also said my husband's name before she said Dada because she heard me calling him by his name and was like oh okay that's the word to use for that person 🫠 oops. She says dada now tho She also still signs a lot, including the signs for "milk" and "want" as well as waving hi and bye.
We do watch lots of Ms Rachel in this house and I notices a huge increase in her vocabulary when we started her on those videos, just once a day (sometimes half a video because some are really long)
Mine only says “uh-oh”

@Ebony this was her list at 14 months actually! I don’t do anything special? Just talk to her like a human lol she does have a 2 year old (just turned 30 months🙄) brother so they talk all day long to each other lol we don’t do hardly any screen time and we read lots of books and songs!
Mine babbles alot says Dada like crazy she can say mama but doesn't. She also says thank you, no, yes, baby and hello.
My son says about 10 words. Some in English and some in Spanish
10ish - like another person mentioned a mix between me and Mrs Rachel, using her methods like songs, repetition, bringing attention to my mouth when pronounciating and giving them time to repeat
He'll say "this, what's this" " yeah"
@Melissa same
Mine is saying take. Bye bye.. call her sisters names
