Like the above comment, Pump as soon as you can and use a hot compress to help while massaging the boobs. Use pain killers too or get your baby to suck (latching well is very crucial). Hope you feel better soon x
Oh they can be really painful. I found getting baby to feed on that side first every time (or pumping regularly if baby is having a nursing strike like mine did when I was clogged) and lots of warm compresses and massage helped. If it gets red and hot to the touch, get in touch with your GP as it could be mastitis which needs antibiotics. Hope it gets better soon!
What helps me is to use a vibrator to massage my boob in the shower then pump on a high setting
Like the others, massage in a hot shower, I also had a microwave heat bean bag. If breast feeding that helps. (I exclusively pumped but if I got a clog I’d shower, massage, pump and then if it still wouldn’t go pop one of my twins on and it’d sort it!)
Agree with all other comments! But I also found when I pumped leaning forward (letting gravity help) while massaging the area worked amazing for me every time !
Soak them in epsom salt while massaging them out, do as often as needed
Then do the dangle hold for baby to drain it out
Ibuprofen before bed and a hungry baby in the morning! I’ve tried all sorts, but I find that baby normally clears them best in the morning when she’s super hungry and feeding effectively. She falls asleep on the boob so I can’t trust her to eat properly during the day 😆
Everyone says heat and massage but when I had a blockage that didn't work for me! Ice packs were my saviour. (Heat makes the milk more liquid, Ice helps if the problem is inflamed tissue)
Take a large facecloth, soak it with hot water and massage your breast with it- felt like absolute heaven. I’m so sorry, they hurt like hell! That’s for soothing it, as for clearing it quickly the only thing I found that helped was the pump
Massage and feed/pump loads. Mine took about 36 hours to go so keep going even if it seems like it’s not going x
Try to wash your breast with hot water (as in the shower). Massage them well then pump them.
