Do you manipulate babies day sleep?

E.G try to make them nap because an app or system says it’s due , and / or then wake them from the nap after a certain time because an app or system says it should be a certain length

I use huckleberry as a guide. If he seems tired, I'll try to see if he's willing to nap. I let him sleep as long as he wants to even if it's a 3 hour nap.

I track the sleep as i can never remember what time he wakes otherwise. But I'll only wake him if he's still asleep from his last nap at 4.30pm. and if he ever sleeps past 7am (unless he's unwell) I'll wake him for the day. But this rarely is the case

I typically look out for my sons sleepy cues like eye rubbing and zoning out .. I’ll then scoop him up, offer him a dummy and lie him on his side in my arms and 9/10 times he’ll fall asleep within minutes .. he usually wakes up naturally however if it’s around 2 hours I’ll wake him as I need to feed him and I don’t want him to ruin his night/day sleep x

I don't use any tracking or app, but roughly follow wake windows and his sleep cues. I usually try cap naps at 2 hrs. I just remove any darkness, and he wakes up naturally. I will also try and help him sleep longer if he wakes up crying with his eyes still shut, but if he seems happy I get him up, even if it's only been 20 mins. I've recently read naps shouldn't be in the dark, so I'm trying not to create a fully dark sleep environment during the day and just let him wake up naturally.

I was nov. 23 babies and we tracked everything on huckleberry, now with a 17m old best advice i can give is don't get obsessed with those guide times! Use as a guide but also watch your babies cues. If your fighting longer than 20 mins to put your baby to sleep, they are undertired! Go back out, play for 10/15 and see how they go 💓

I use it as a guide.

I follow her wake windows. I put her down the same time for both naps as she’s ready for it

I go by my daughters ques, and I’ll only wake her up from a nap if it’s longer that 2.5 hours and she’s had quite a few. If she’s hardly napped I will let her sleep as long as she wants 😊

I try to get him to nap if he’s showing signs he’s tired, but don’t use an app etc to tell me when to

I tried huckleberry and to be honest she was napping when it said that was her sweet spot anyway. My little girl tends to nap in the car when I drop her dad off and pick him up and then has one in the middle of the day mostly when I take her for a walk or sometimes she will nap at home but she tends to only have maximum 1.5 hrs at a time. But I always make sure she is awake for her next feed and she sleeps through so I think this routine is working for her at the minute anyway

I used both huckleberry and pampers sleep training app and although they were accurate in predicting when LO would be ready for a nap, trying to force her to nap there and then as well as waking her up to end the nap honestly made her so grumpy, which made me miserable. As soon as I stopped and let her lead we were both so much happier and she’s fallen into her own routine

The huckleberry app works wonders for us! My son is usually falling asleep by the time the app says he’s due a nap so seems pretty accurate! His nap lengths vary so I leave him to it and the app adjusts his next nap time based on how long he’s napped for.
