Pregnancy Tired vs New Baby Tired

I’m currently 39+4 and really struggling with energy levels and worried how I’ll cope when baby arrives. Is it true that pregnancy tired is different to new baby tired? Will I actually be able to find the energy to look after my baby? 🙈

It felt like a different kind of tired to me. While pregnant I never felt fully rested, could never get comfortable. When we had our baby I was still sleep deprived but the sleep I did get was good sleep. If that makes sense? I also had more opportunity to sleep because of being on mat leave

Pregnancy tired is defo 10000% worse

Pregnancy tired is every bone & muscle in your body is tired, baby is taking everything good from you, where as baby tired is lack of sleep tired. You could sleep for a week now & you wouldn't feel any better, cus it's a different tired feeling. Personally I think it's completely different. You got this 💕

@Jaz my sleep is so terrible aswell, cannot get comfy for love nor money

Pregnancy tired is way worse - you’ll be fine once baby comes. It’s a whole different ball game, but the best part is that you’ll have all the cute cuddles and newborn hormones to keep you going lol

Yeah it's totally different, I slept better when he was born even though it was broken sleep

I think it depends on your baby. I was in hospital on the antenatal ward a week, where you don't get much sleep. had 2 day home then had a 36 hour labour. I now have a beautiful 3 day old baby girl who's not slept for more than half an hour for the past 2 nights so this is DEFINITELY worse but I don't think most people have it quite that rough there's a lot of factors involved in it i think x
