My baby is "crawling" backwards – does that count?

My baby is desperate to be on the move and whenever she's on her tummy, she props herself up, tries to move forwards but ends up going backwards. Does this count as crawling? Today, she even "crawled" backwards and turned a corner. She started out in front of me, facing the wall on my left, and ended up next to me, facing the wall in my front. She gets super frustrated, because that's obviously not where she means to go... just wondering if this counts as crawling

Mine has been doing it for about 2 months now but has now started leaping a little bit to go forward 😂 but I don't think he quite knows how to move forward properly. It's supposed to be a sign of pre crawling though so your lil one is on the right path

@Elaine ah so we have a bit more time before she starts crawling properly 🤣

Mine did this for a few weeks just before he crawled forward so it’s definitely a good sign- I wouldn’t count it as proper crawling but more learning to move and on his way to crawling!
