@Samantha Yes the sound machine is definitely helpful, we are fine once baby gets to sleep but it’s just those first 15 minutes while she’s sleeping in my arms and I’m holding her up while letting her stomach settle after she eats that the noise gets to her. I wish he would sit in her nursery with me and be calm doing an activity while I rock her to sleep but nothing about him is calm these days lol. If only she fell asleep to the calming sound of dinosaur roars then we would be doing great!
This is why I just don’t have my 3 year old nap at home anymore 😅 is that a possibility?
@GMF My 3 year old doesn’t nap anymore, I wish lol & he’s home with me all day too. It’s the baby I need to nap, and she will not nap in the car she mostly just screams. She won’t take a pacifier where I know if she would she would be able to sleep in the car and at home easier. My son was so much easier, but I also had all the time to contact nap.
@Kelsey oh gosh reading is hard lol I totally skimmed too fast while nursing my 7 week old! Could you use a portable sound machine and have it close to baby to hopefully block the toddler noise a little better?
@GMF hahaha I totally feel you! Multitasking is hard right now. That’s a good idea I haven’t used the portable in the house since her first few weeks and I bet it would help her to zone out. I’m going to try it thanks!
I’m on the same boat, having a sound machine helps a bit to block some noise but obviously it don’t block all, my daughter just talks loud and plays louder 😭 so I constantly have to pick up my baby or just sacrifice an hour or more of my arms so he can sleep. My daughter doesn’t say she’s lonely or sad but giving take she was always with me 24/7 for 3 years, I know my Velcro baby misses me playing with her all day
