Breastfeeding and weightloss

Hey mamas! Honestly I’m just after some advice on shifting this baby weight. Both my babes still feed so I just have no idea how to go about it without impacting my milk supply. But both my sister and I get married this year so I have bikinis, bridesmaid and wedding dress to fit into and feel confident in and I’m honestly really struggling 🙃

That sounds like it may not be attainable. Calorie deficit to lose weight but your still feeding so maybe aim for 1lb a week? Good luck!

Still feeding my nearly 18 month old. For me upping my steps helped the weight loss massively! When I returned to work I average around 20k steps a day and I’ve lost nearly 2 stone over 6 months without dropping calories x

@Amanda it feels like it’s not. I cannot seem to get beyond a certain number 😭

@Yasmin I will try this!

Or come to terms that you'll do the best you can and if you don't make it don't beat yourself up. You're still nursing. The timing wasn't the greatest

totally get it! maybe try some gentle workouts like walking or yoga, and just focus on eating a bit healthier without cutting too much, that way you can still keep your milk supply up while feeling good for those weddings! 😊 this is what the 'Heal App' mentioned… hope it helps! "It's completely understandable to feel overwhelmed with the pressure of fitting into your wedding attire while also caring for your little ones. To safely manage your weight while breastfeeding, focus on a balanced diet rich in whole foods, like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Aim for gradual weight loss, about 1 pound per week, to help maintain your milk supply. Incorporating gentle exercise, such as walking or postpartum yoga, can also be beneficial. Have you considered tracking your food intake or finding a supportive community to share your journey with?"

@Susan I’ve just downloaded my fitness pal so hopefully that helps and already feel like I walk loads but hopefully the nicer weather will push it along even more 🤞
