The advice is as long as they can roll front to back without assistance, they are fine. My son was the same and has only just learnt to roll back from tummy to back. I would say until that moment, when he does keep rolling back is take him out of the crib (still asleep) and basically reset him. If my son, kept rolling back, I would take my son out of his crib still asleep have him asleep in my arms in the baby cradle position and replace back in the crib on his back. I use a blanket so I would tuck him back in tightly, enough to feel pressure but enough to kick off if he really tried and this helped him not roll as much and stay sleeping on his back. It is a pain to keep doing the reset but it helped my anxiety. Also practise lots of rolling in and out of tummy time in the day, this helped to get my son rolling back to front and front to back.
My baby has just started doing it but sleeps so much better on his front!! I didn’t sleep for 2 nights watching him but I know he can turn his head to breathe, he just wakes up and cry’s when he wants to go back over so I go and roll him over. He’s been sleeping 8/9 hours straight when sleeping on his front!!
I haven't been in this position because my little one hates being on his tummy, but in all the groups I go to where people have this concern the advice has been that if they have the strength to roll, they have the strength to sleep on their tummies (as in, they can turn their head to the side, or lift it if needed) so they will be fine. And as you say your little one has great head control, I don't think you need to worry ❤️ I've always been told it's our job to put them down to sleep on their backs, but where they end up is up to them! If they have the strength to get there they should be fine x
