Some babies just won't take them because they don't like them. Unfortunately you really shouldn't force it

2/3 of mine never liked or took pacifiers. At times I wished they did but it was better in the long run.

Might have to continue to offer the boob? It's none of my business, but I'm so curious why you're stopping when baby is 3 months?

My son was like this but ended up being attached to his bottle. My daughter loves her paci and she's 14 months. It's going to be hell when we take it away. Count yourself lucky. I wished I hadn't given her one at 4 months 😅

Mine never took them when I was around. He uses them now as teethers though which is pretty cute/funny

You could try the Pacii! It’s one designed for breastfed babies. My daughter refused pacifiers and even gagged on them when she was in the newborn phase. We tried the Pacii at 6 months and she finally took it! You have to buy them from their website as they don’t sell them in stores.

My son also stopped breastfeeding exclusively at 3-4 months he took to the bigger binky like 18-24 month best Ps you are doing the right thing whatever the reason your so amazing for breastfeeding no matter the time frame!

My son is still breastfed but he doesn't always need it to soothe. He has a toy giraffe in his cot and he eats its legs haha and also a teether toy as well. But he'll also suck on his hands - which is ideal because he can't drop those like a pacifier!

Breastfed babies don’t usually like pacifiers. My son soothes with his hand.

My daughter wouldn’t take one until she was about 2 months old, and even then it was rare. The moment she started teething just around 3 months, she stopped entirely. I went thru I think 15 different pacifiers before I realized what a waste it was to keep trying her for it when I’d then have to wean her off in the future if she ended up keeping it. Don’t stress about giving her a paci, find other forms of soothing her instead! Her teeth with thank you in the future anyways!

Mine did take it until 3 months or so.

hmm, that's tough! some babies just aren’t into pacifiers, but maybe try different shapes or even just your finger for comfort? here's what the 'Heal App' says.... "It's understandable to feel concerned about soothing your baby, especially as you plan to transition away from breastfeeding. First, consider trying different types of pacifiers, as some babies prefer specific shapes or materials. You might also try offering a clean finger or your pinky for her to suck on, as this can sometimes satisfy her need to suck without a pacifier. Additionally, you can explore other soothing techniques, such as swaddling, gentle rocking, or using white noise to create a calming environment. Have you noticed any particular situations or times when she seems most in need of soothing? This could help tailor your approach.

my daughter was 6 weeks in early. The first 3 weeks she was there and using the binki. Once we got home within a few days she stopped using them and never went back. Mine now likes to chew on the frozen binki.Or even if I don't freeze it she like to chew on it. There's also bumpy binkis. They are for teething. Or there's the rubber toys they can suck/chew on.
