Low progesterone?

Has anyone suffered with possible low progesterone? I’ve had 3 miscarriages, 2 being early losses (before 6 weeks) and 1 being a blighted ovum (10 weeks). We’re thinking of trying again and during conversations with a friend she said to ask to get my progesterone checked as that might be a reason for the loses. I was a bit sceptical as I ovulate every month and have never missed a period but when I’ve searched low progesterone symptoms apparently spotting a few days before your period is due is a massive sign which is something I had before my last miscarriage. I’ve been taking ovulation support in hopes it’d help because I’m reluctant to go to the GP and ask for bloods as I’m ‘overweight’ and have a feeling I won’t be listened too and get told to lose weight. I’m just concerned as my period is due to start yesterday and then and this morning I had the smallest amount of brown spotting and it’s gone again and I’m worried if that I catch again soon it’s just going to end in another miscarriage.

I had suspected low progesterone because the window between ovulation & when my period started was short. I had 3 recurrent MC’s, eventually spoke to a consultant & I was prescribed progesterone depositories (Cyclogest) + a low dose of Asprin from a certain amount of weeks. I now have my rainbow baby who is 19 months 🥰 I would defo suggest progesterone, Tommys have research done on it, it doesn’t harm the baby or yourself in any way so you may have to advocate for yourself with the GP. See if your Drs have someone who specialises in fertility stuff, they should be more understanding. Good luck!! I hope they can help you without too much hassle 🤞🏼

Suppositories* (not depositories)

I never had regular periods. I have regular irregular periods and have autoimmune issues and I miscarried previously. I do have my rainbow baby though I was on bc in my 20s to regulate my period and it didn’t help so I dropped them but did end up pregnant on it which was a miracle too but I lost the pregnancy too

Are you tracking your cycles? You want to start taking a progesterone supplements 3 nights after you ovulate. Take progesterone supplements from then till when your period is due. If you period comes, stop the supplementation and repeat next cycle. If your period doesn’t come because you are pregnant, keep taking the progesterone.
