Advice on breastfeeding

Okay, so I have stopped breastfeeding my almost 2 year old this week, I stopped because I am pregnant (7 weeks), any advice on what to do when you stop? My boobs are massive, engorged and so so sore. She’s my first baby so I don’t know if there’s anything I have to do after I stop breastfeeding. Any advice welcome Thank you xxxxx

Usually you wean slowly so the engorgement doesn’t happen? Cold turkey is the hardest

I did wean slowly, I stopped during the day, gradually moved to just before sleeping and during the night, and then just to sleep and now stopped night ones too, the first 2 days it was fine but now it just feels so full and sore

You can do cold compress or cold cabbage leaves to help with the swelling.

Cold cabbage leaves, cold compress, hand express small amounts in the shower enough to get to comfortable amount

Start pumping every now and then. Since it's less efficient than the baby actually feeding, it makes your supply go down even more gradually

I stopped feeding my 2 year old when I was 6 months pregnant, I think my milk dried up a fair bit anyway due to being pregnant which helped so I didn't really need to do anything else, but if you're really sore maybe you could express the milk now and then to ease it, but also you don't have to stop breast feeding when you're pregnant you can keep going, obvs if you're stopping because you want to then do 😊 I personally stopped because I got a bad aversion to it and it made me cringe so bad! 😬 3 months later I was back at it with my 2nd baby 😂
