Advice please

So my baby is still waking up at least once in the night for a feed. I’m due to come off of maternity leave soon and I work in a job that is at night. My mum is going to be having him 2 nights a week whilst I work but she has disabilities which make it hard for her to be Mobile, obviously going downstairs to make a bottle will be a challenge for her and I’m worried she might fall so I thought of a prep machine so she can do the bottle in there. Some stuff says you shouldn’t use them? Have anyone used them? Any alternative ideas? Thanks in advance

What about a nuby rapid cool and a flask? I believe prep machines aren’t recommended as they don’t get hot enough to kill bacteria. I’m not 100% sure on that but I’m pretty sure that’s what I’ve heard. You could alway use ready made formula and a bottle warmer if your LO prefers it warm than room temp xx

If u want to eliminate ur mum going up and down the stairs I would also recommend using nuby and keep some hot water in a flask and make the bottle up when needed. Prep machines aren't as safe like other comment said they aren't recommend, and when using nuby make sure u use it the way nuby instructs you to which is to make the bottle up in the nuby not use the hot shot method and only cool the water down as this method is just as unsafe as prep machines for the same reasons. It's the hot shot method which isn't safe as the water isn't actually hot enough to kill bacteria in formula and prep machines use the hot shot method. So do the nuby and use as it is intended plus it's cheaper then a prep machine x

I love my prep machine but for 2 nights a week I’d just get a good thermo flask & the nuby rapid cool

We make all our bottles up for the day/night in advance in the morning and keep them in the fridge as formula keeps for 24 hours once kept in the fridge. We have a mini fridge in the bedroom that we put the feeds into for nighttime and we have a bottle warmer on the bedside table so we don’t have to go downstairs at night you could try that so then your mum won’t have to go downstairs or need to prep bottles just take one readymade from the mini fridge and pop into the warmer when baby starts to stir for a feed

Or, get a mini fridge and bottle warmer, then u can pre make the bottles and warm up in the bottle warmer when needed 🙂
