Breastfeeding help! Dip in supply

So my baby is 4 months old and ebf, but we want to try to give her a bottle once a day. It has gone well so far and I haven’t changed feeding schedule much, I pump just enough to bottle feed her an oz or two then give her the breast. When I would pump occasionally a couple months ago I could easily get 5+ oz in 10-15 mins from both breasts, but today when I would pump with 2-3 hours between I was only getting less than 2 oz in 15 mins on both breasts. We weighed her and compared to last week she has lost around 6oz. I’m due to start my period in less than a week and that could be a factor, but now I’m concerned she hasn’t been getting enough milk. I feel like I’m feeding her often enough, still every 2-3 hours. She has been waking up more in the night and I feed her. What could it be? What can I do? 😭 it’s making me feel so bad.

I’ve been exclusively breastfeeding since last 6 months but the days when I feel she is not getting enough I give top up formula in order keep her full and thats completely fine . You can try mix feeding . Milk supply can be effected from time to time by various factors. Also try foods that would increase your milk content . Since the baby is growing she will be wanting more and more

Your milk will regulate at around 2 months with only what your baby needs to eat and no extra so babies will only drink around 4 ounces a feeds so you'll only produce around 4 ounces a pump. You could try power pumping if your concerned though

Count her number of pee diapers. If she has 6-8, she’s getting enough milk. She could just be waking up more due to the 4 month sleep regression. Keep doing what you’re doing, and add a power pump session if you want to increase your supply. Supplementing with formula will actually hurt your milk supply unless you’re pumping for that feed.

hey, that sounds super stressful, but honestly, it could just be a phase or your body adjusting, ya know? maybe try to relax a bit and keep an eye on her wet diapers and overall mood – if she's happy and peeing, that's a good sign! 🤷‍♀️ and don't hesitate to reach out to a lactation consultant if you’re really worried, they can help with all this stuff. hang in there! this is what the 'Heal App' mentioned… hope it helps! "It sounds like you're going through a challenging time, and it's completely understandable to feel concerned about your baby's feeding. First, it's important to ensure that your baby is getting enough milk, especially since she has lost some weight. Here are two key steps you can take: 1. Increase Pumping Frequency: Try to pump more frequently, perhaps after each feeding, to stimulate your milk supply. This can help signal your body to produce more milk. 2. Monitor Baby's Feeding Cues: Pay attention to her feeding cues and ensure she is latching well during

Thank you ladies! I feel a little better. I’m feeding just a little more today and I’m going to do a couple power pumping sessions.
