Leg cramps

Hi girlies, I’m 29 weeks pregnant and have started getting really bad leg cramps during the day but mostly in the middle of the night, usually when I’ve just got to sleep 😂 Anyone have any suggestions on how to help/ease them? TIA xx

Magnesium saved me :) https://amzn.eu/d/1q0Ejh7

Midwife will say eat bananas etc aswell as not much what can be done

Midwife suggested magnesium rich foods or a supplement, as well as ensuring water intake is good throughout the day!

I had the worst restless legs and cramps at nights when i went to bed!! I had the strongest magnesium you can take and also took hydration tablets before bed, you need to make sure you’re not dehydrated! I used a massage gun and sometimes it helped a bit, but oh boy it was absolutely terrible! Bless you and hope you find something that helps! 😫

Yes, I’ve been getting them too! It’s so horrible and hate being woken up by them xx

Hello, sorry to hear! They’re so painful especially at night. I’ve been getting cramps in the last 10 days (at 24 weeks). I’ve been taking electrolytes (mixed in water) which was recommended by my physio. I’ve also been drinking a tonic at night. Both of these have helped! + stretching when I remember. Good luck :)

I always found eating a banana a day helped ease them, but also when you feel one coming on in your leg, flex your foot upwards and it’ll stop it fully I found!
