Mines do the same
Separation anxiety peeks around this age. It's normal. We've been dealing with the same. Our son is also a busy body
@Jess somtimes im scared she had adhd bc of how hyperactive she is ! she doesn’t not stop talking , and can’t seem to sit still. can’t even go to church without her babbling sounds and little words and just doesn’t sit still 😭😭😭 now the separation anxiety i believe , glad to know it’s around this age ! she in general doesn’t trust people lol .. she doesn’t go with strangers
@Katia Our church has a nursery so I take my son there because I know he won't sit still. However, yesterday we went to a church that doesn't have a nursery and I literally had to take my son out at one point to have him regroup. He was talking, screaming and going back and forth between family members on the pew. Based on that, I'd said you baby is just exhibiting normal behavior for her age. They don't understand the concept of quiet places yet and they are just wanting to explore everything. Our son just got past a bad separation anxiety episode which kept us up 2-3 hours at night for a month. He also cries when being dropped off at daycare daily (it's getting better becausehis teachers have figured out how to distract him).
yes , our church has a nursery too but she does not want to stay she will literally scream and cry bc she doesn’t see me ! when i tell you this little girl has lungs , she has lungs omggg !!! im not sure what to do at this point 😭
@Katia I understand. My son normally screams when we take him to the nursery. It was rough at first but I knew that with consistency he'd get use to it. Now, he cries but is fine once we are out of sight because he's gotten use to the volunteers in the nursery. I will say that I learned that it takes repetition for them to overcome separation anxiety. That also includes some cries which can be unbearable for us but they know if they cry....we'll come so they utilize it. Is there maybe someone that you can leave her with for her to start getting comfortable with others that you trust?
Sounds very normal my 20 month old for the past month unless he destracted will scream me going any where even standing up to get my drink or stretch He's always been bad in the car screaming hard to get in to the point we only use the car if he's tired lol. Other then that we walk everywhere. He now at nursert twice a wk why I work he's mainly been okay on my leaving him as he destracted as his keyworker take him off but on pick off min he hears me he starts crying find when he's in my arms. My boys always next to my side followers me to the loo or anywhere in house I go sometimes even asking to be in arms they go through a separation anxiety around 18 to 22 months 🙃
