Crawling - or lack of!

I never crawled as a baby I used to shuffle on my bum and I’ve heard of some babies never crawling they just walk in time of course.. all babies are different I wouldn’t worry to much xx

My May baby is the same. She’s just not fussed about crawling and my neice was similar. I’ve been getting her to stand while holding her hands as I think she’ll skip crawling all together lol

Same here! He gets so frustrated because he gets himself stuck with his leg underneath him and he’s been doing that for weeks. Can’t see him being a crawler at all. Some babies just don’t, my middle child was a bum shuffler lol x

@Katharine she can bum shuffle a bit but it’s like she’s not realised she can do it so only does it when she’s trying to get to something she shouldn’t have 😅 Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised at this point if she skips it! X

@Jess I’ve been starting to get her to stand too as I don’t think she’ll crawl now 😅

My youngest son can’t crawl and he turns 1 in 2 weeks. He did however take his first steps at 10.5 months so he just wants to walk everywhere even though his balance is still shoddy and stacks it. It’s upsetting because he can’t get himself from A to B and he gets so frustrated he just starts screaming. I’ve admitted defeat with the crawling. He’ll just have to master walking 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 x

My son when he started crawling didn’t realise he could do it at first then it was like over night and he was crawling everywhere so give it time she may realise it over night and start bum shuffling everywhere

I was a bum shuffler, never crawled! Try not to worry, they are all different xx

@Rachel glad it’s not just my little one! She gets so frustrated too! Really tries but either gets stuck or slides the wrong way 😅 she can bum shuffle but hasn’t really realised it’s an option so doesn’t do it much, it’s only by accident 😅

My baby just bum shuffles and never attempted crawling. She leans forward now and pushes back in the crawling position but bum shuffling is still her method of transport🤣 maybe encourage that to see if that’s how your LO will move?
