We are too!
Yes! We've rented a pool and very excited. People seem shocked when you tell them but less interventions take place than in a hospital. I know the transfer rate can be high though so very aware of things that could be presented to me as risk. Taking some radical responsibility and doing what is right for us. X
@Annaliese im so pleased for you! We made the decision to have a home birth too as I’m super anxious about going into hospital! I can’t believe more people don’t have home births when you look statistics! Hope all goes well for you my lovely! I ordered my birth pool today! I finally feel excited and not anxious about my birth!
We are as well! I still have two weeks until the assessment, though, so fingers crossed 🤞
Aw thank you. Likewise! I think once you make the decision, you relax a bit. I know that's how I felt and what's lovely is my midwife is really pro-home birth having had her three daughters at home and she's on the home birth team. I much prefer a holistic approach if possible. Eee! It's so exciting when the pool arrives. We had a right laugh setting it up for a test run (didn't fill it as it would have meant ordering another pool liner) but we kept joking about it being like a jacuzzi, shame I'm unable to have a cocktail! 🤣 All the best with your home birth too 🩷

Yes we are! Just had our assessment last Friday and gas and air delivered and the big box of stuff for midwives 🥰
Yes we are. I am 39 weeks, this is my 3rd. Previous two babies induced. Have birthing pool, everything else planned etc. Only worry is, had a sweep this morning which was positive as already 3cm. But MW said they are understaffed for homebirths, just hoping this doesn't ruin my plans I am staying positive though ,
