Sleep anxiety

So my little boy is 18 months. He has never been a good sleeper.. story for another day but does anyone feel like once they put them down for the night they're just on edge waiting on them to wake? It's literally so debilitating. My partner works nights 4 nights a week so I'm on my own most of the week. I find it hard to get to sleep aswell incase he wakes. Just wondering if this is common that's not really spoken about.

Oh this is me and my husband every night... And that's with a good sleeper! We sit and watch TV and constantly look at the monitor as soon as we see movement, we get nervous he's going to wake up. Our son sometimes cries in the night and it just fills us with so much anxiety, it's the not knowing if he'll keep crying, do we go in? Will he fall back asleep? Will he wake up again? What time will he wake up? My husband and I need a lot of sleep, so this is definitely an anxiety for us.. I keep imagining our son being a teenager, when sleep will not be a problem 😂

Yes! No one gets it! I can not relax at all because I’m constantly wondering how long I’ll have. Even taking a shower is a gamble. I’m so glad to see I’m not the only one!

@Rebecca pm me. I've seen you comment on a lot of things and have thought previously we have similar issues. X

Incog I can't as you're incog but feel free to message me! X
