When did you get your period back if you’re not breastfeeding?

Freaking right after 5 weeks… I had like 2 days of no bleeding. Then bam, my period, and now I’m bleeding after having sex for the first time… it’s been great 😭😭

I am breast feeding and hit 6 weeks PP on Monday and I just started bleeding two days ago with mild cramps🥲

I stopped bleeding around 5 weeks pp then a couple days later I started my period and it lasted 2 weeks. I’m also 7 weeks pp now

You were able to track your cycle pp for ovulation? Was it not irregular?

@KayLee sort of! So I track my cycle with an app so I have a rough guideline of when I should be ovulating, and then I take the little ovulation strips around that time to see when I actually am! It’s usually pretty accurate give or take a few days. I just don’t wanna waste a ton of ovulation strips testing all month long since I have no period aka no reference point 😅🙃

@Abby smart! I was using the natural cycles app prior to conceiving and it worked great for me. I don’t like taking hormonal BC and would like to track it again!!

@Allie how did you decipher that it was your period versus just more PP bleeding? Now I’m trying to think if I had a gap in post partum bleeding that could’ve been a period! I don’t think I did bc I stopped bleeding around 4 weeks PP but who knows 😅

@KayLee same here! I’ve heard of natural cycles, I should give it a try then! We don’t use any BC except tracking my cycle!

@Abby I had a few days off, then I got super bad cramps, I actually had like debilitating back pain the entire period. I usually have back cramps, and had back labor so my uterus was just very angry. The period flow was like regular period, no clumps or like individual pieces like lochia. And it smelled like period. Then that ended, we tried having sex for the first time, and then I started having bright red blood and now it’s individual pieces like afterbirth was.

@Abby I started natural cycles again on the postpartum setting but just switched to regular. It actually predicted my period to the day already. Pretty crazy.

Omg FTM here and I got mine 5 weeks 3 days PP and I’m still bleeding SO MUCH (it’s been almost a week) - it’s like all 9 periods I missed in one. I never have heavy periods or cramps and whoooo it’s roughhhhh. I even messaged my OB because I was worried - apparently it’s normal! Just prepare yourself - this first one after birth is no joke!
