This is what I’m making tomorrow for dinner lol I’m not sure I’ll be helpful because I don’t measure but I do half chicken broth and water or bullion cubes with double the water (depending what I have). I add garlic and onions to the tiny chopped potatoes to cook then add the ham closer to the end since it’s usually cooked already. You can either do butter, flour, cream cheese, and heavy cream at the beginning or make a roux on the stove with butter flour and milk to add just before serving. Then season and top with what you like. It tastes different every time but that’s part of the fun lol
I have a very simple recipe that my 15 year old loves and even makes on her own. Make instant mashed potatoes as directed and then add 2 cups of milk to thin them down. From there you can add your ham, cheese, and sour cream or anything else you'd like
