bedtime

anyone else's lo is going to bed around 5 pm...he's 6 months and usually he naps alot bc his naps are so short but now he thinks it's bed time when usaslly he's in bed by 8 but he keeps falling into short naps before hand should I let him continue to sleep...or wake him up any advice?
