Veins?!

This might be TMI but wondering if anyone is suffering with varicose veins on the vulva? It’s one I have on my left side up quite high, spoke to my midwife who didn’t know much?! Then went to my GP on Friday who wanted to call my midwife but not heard anything since. Don’t have any anywhere else. I’m 99% sure it is a varicose vein but I’m more worried about labour. Wondered if anyone else has had this?

It's quite common in pregnancy, I understand and will go back to normal after baby is born xx

I haven’t had one there but I have on my legs. They’ll go down post pregnancy but may not completely go away. Mine are there to stay but worse when it’s hot or if I’m out hiking etc. You only really worry about them if they are causing you pain or discomfort. Or if they get really hot which could suggest a clot. Mostly clots form on the legs though. Unfortunately getting them removed privately is expensive £1000s unlocked into it 🙄 chosen to embrace them instead. See what happens after the baby but if you really need it removing make sure you lay on thick with the GP the reasons why you need it removed or NHS won’t do it x

Yes I possibly have but midwife wasn't certain. Wear very supportive maternity underwear with a bit of compression to it.
