Last feed before wake up

He has a big feed at bed time, 7-7.30. then wakes around midnight but settles without a feed. Wakes about 3-4am has a feed. Then wakes for the day at 7am I only ever do one boob per feed as I struggled with over supply when he was newborn and this worked for us

My BF baby literally is just on my boob all night 🤦🏼‍♀️. We co sleep though so I get more sleep when she’s just on my boob. My back is braking but I’d rather have more sleep 😂

My son is on my boob on and off from about 4am until 7am and then he’ll wake up either at 7am or 8am. He’s on there for however long he feels like but it’s not for long and it’s usually one side. We also bed share.

@Charley makes sense! How did you know during regression that he wasn’t waking from hunger?

@Zeynep I didn't 😆 if he was just stirring and grumbling I tried to settle with bum pats and shushing. He either went back to sleep or the grumbles turned more into cries so at that point I fed him back to sleep. Now he's in his own room and wakes twice a night, once for a settle and once for a feed

@Charley we just moved abroad but after a few nights/a week I will try to move him to his room, I hope it will make some difference 🥲😂 my bigger issue is not settling after 4-4.30 and I keep him on my chest which isn’t ideal.

@Charley also how often do you think you breastfeed during the day? I see conflicting advice of snacking versus full feeds, I think I try to feed him too often and perhaps he’s now used to smaller feeds which became a pattern

@Zeynep before he was in his own room we really struggled after 4ish, lots of waking and settling and cuddling and turning over and feeding etc. turns out he sleeps better on his own so he's much better in his own room. I honestly don't know how much I feed him during the day, maybe 10? But I couldn't say that with confidence, I don't track it at all. Sometimes he snacks, remember they feed for thirst as well as hunger. I rarely offer boob, I just wait until he tells me he needs it. He can now lift my top and latch himself too 😆

@Charley oh wow you’re at the lifting the top phase already haha 😂 yeah he’s fussy these days so I can’t quite tell if it’s hunger or just him being him haha

Before bed, 7.30/8 then will wake anywhere between 12-1 then again at 4-5 and then up 7/730. She used to only wake once in the night for a feed but she doesn’t feed for as long during the daytime anymore 🥲

I wake my baby up at 4am to feed him a full bottle. If I let him wake me up for it , then he does so around 5:30 instead. I prefer to get up as 4 as then I can get back to sleep more easily. He then wakes for the day around 8am. Sometimes 9am!! (He goes to bed 8-9pm)
