Ring them, better to be safe than sorry and end up giving birth on your bathroom floor alone like I did🥲

I would call triage & discuss any other symptoms you have, although most likely they’ll advise you to stay home & rest till contractions are closer together. All the best! 🫶🏻

Wait until they’re closer together - they probably won’t want you to come in until they are. I started contractions with my second on the Sunday morning and didn’t go into hospital until the early hours of Monday morning. They originally started about 15 minutes apart, lasting maybe a minute? But they were more just like bad cramps than anything and I could talk through them easily. It wasn’t until I went to bed and was struggling to sleep and woke up at 1am I found they intensified, I had a bath around 3, phoned and went in about 4.30, had my son 6.25am. Good luck!

Yes they think about timing but also the intensity of the contraction, I made the decision to go in more as the intensity and when I got there I was 7cm and the 8 minutes later baby was in my arms. Also if you need antibiotics for group b strep worth going in sooner rather than later too.

My second baby my contractions started 4 minutes apart right out the gate. So I knew it was happening
