My little boy is the same. He sleeps in our bed after the first couple of wake ups and he sleeps through, but refuses to sleep all night in his cot x
Yeah I’m running out of ideas, to help her sleep in her cot x
I think it could be something related to our babies age as I see they’re all 5 months old x
We had the same - posted on another post about this. We’ve done a week of sleep training and now she’s in the cot all night with just one or two wakes for feeds! Something to consider if it’s not getting better on its own. We also moved her to a bigger cot which seemed to help.
@Leonie what sleep training did you do and how long did it take to work? Did it work the first night or after the full week? Would love to know more! x
@T✨ our first (Nov 2022 baby) was an atrocious sleeper so we worked with a proper sleep coach and are just following a similar plan now. I think it’s called gradual retreat method. You put them in cot awake and then if they cry help them to sleep however works (bum pat, strokes, shushing etc) but you don’t pick them up unless you absolutely have to (if they get too worked up crying or something). You do this every wake unless you’re going to feed or nappy change in which case you obviously just pick them up. You’re meant to increase the time crying before you intervene but I don’t like the idea of leaving them crying so haven’t done that. Then you’re meant to slowly reduce the support you’re give them eg pat them for less time, just shush etc. eventually you just put them down and they self settle. Tbh it worked within a few nights! But it’s still hit and miss. She tends to self settle with night wakes now but sometimes needs some help getting to sleep start of the night.
@Leonie thank you I will give this ago, but I will be the same with u not leave her crying cuz I hate it too x
I have the same! She’s up every hour after 1am and will settle in cot for about 10 minutes and then wake and want to sleep on me 🙃🫠
Yeah it always seem to be between midnight and 1amish I really struggle to settle her and keep her in her cot
But if she in bed with me or on me she falls asleep instantly
@Leonie thank you for this! Will deffo try it too. Really appreciate u letting us all know 🫶🏼x
Been similar here but we have just come out the other side of it, my girl is EBF and she is my second child, I didn't change feeding her to sleep each time and then its like something clicked in her brain and she was able to sleep for longer stretches. X
So glad I found this post, my baby is doing the same! x
I hope we all get our little babies to have a good night sleep and I’m glad I’m not the only one, we can get through this together ladies x

Following as in same boat! x
