@Jen she does understand a few directions like finding her shoes and coat so this is why I’m so confused. She’s only been going since January and found it hard to settle in so had to have a few more settling in sessions before her going all day (she goes in twice a week).
Mine also repeats words and sentences until you acknowledge it and say it back to her. But we’ve never had any worries about her speech. I wonder if your LO is acting differently at nursery than with you at home? Particularly if she hasn’t been at nursery very long? We also recently had it where there was a video of her at nursery struggling to count to 5 but she does it absolutely fine at home 🤷🏼♀️
Could you have a catch up with your hv? And see what she says as we had a similar thing but with fussy eating and the hv gave tips but also helped us feel better there wasn’t an issue just a phase
@Gaby it has really frustrated me with her nursery because I feel she is absolutely fine. Has your LO been going to nursery a while?
@Josie annoyingly her 27 month review got cancelled as they don’t do it at the centre there anymore so now have to wait until next month to see what they have to say!
Um that's odd...my girly does this too sometimes but she also says full sentences and will literally repeat everything you say! Lol. As far as not understanding direction...does she listen to or understand direction with you? Obviously at 2 they are not going to do everything you say lol, but unless this is a regular occurrence I don't see how that has to do with her speech.
