Getting out of the swaddle

Our 4 month old, 3 months corrected, is having a really hard time transitioning out of the swaddle. Basically out of no where he decided to learn to roll both ways and had to suddenly start the transition out. We tried going cold turkey but he couldn’t sleep at all. He wakes himself every 15 minutes. Then he is cranky all day because he is exhausted. We have tried the halo transition sack and the Merlin suit. Both of these still allowed the start reflex and allow him to rub his eyes until he is wide awake. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

What I did is I used my halo but only wrapped one arm at a time. You can do that for supervised naps for him to get used to having one arm out. It took me about a week of doing one arm out and then switching to the other arm and then both fully out.

Can you get one of those sleep sacks that allow for one arm out and the other swaddled for a bit ?

We used the halo swaddles! Did one arm at a time for a few days then still more tight around her abdomen for a few more days. Now she's in a sleep sack. She still moves her arms but usually her paci falling out is what wakes her up

My oldest transition out of the swaddle herself when she was around 7 months old at that time she new how to crawl and roll over she felt like she had a stray jacket on she liked her arms and legs free around 7 months maybe your baby just doesn't want to come out of the swaddle just yet

Maybe the love to dream transition one swaddle? You can zip off the arms
