@Kim🌷 he was pausing his breathing and gasping for air when sleeping (apnea) he is very loud when he eats and again pauses breathing and gasps for air. Very obvious stridor. I called the doctor said I had some concerns with his breathing during feeds and eating and took loads of videos to show them. I can private message you and we can talk about it a bit more xx
My SIL has it, she had surgery at like 7 months old to correct it… hers was really bad though to my understanding
@Bella thank you! It’s been super scary as I had never heard about it before. How is she doing now?
There’s sadly a lot that we never hear of… and only learn when we need too. In regard to that she’s perfectly healthy and it doesn’t affect her.
Mine had it was diagnosed at about 2 weeks. Is now 14 weeks and it’s already improved, much better now! Only the odd gasps and choking etc
my daughter had it and had a feeding test done and it showed the milk pooling up but she grew out of it! she just turned 2. only advice is for choking to do paced feedings and burp half way through, and then at night in the bassinet we had to elevate her head so we did a boppy pillow and then a swaddle blanket over it and kinda tucked under it so she wouldn’t fall through and so that we didn’t have to worry about it suffocating her.
No advice but I feel my little one has this, he is six weeks old. What were the symptoms your little one had and how did you get it diagnosed?
