Breastfeeding advice pleaseee

I'm really keen to stop breastfeeding my 22 month old especially as I'm pregnant now and just finding it exhausting. But I have no idea how to stop - it's the only way to get him down for a nap or bedtime and he screams for me when my other half tries to put him to bed. A couple of times he's thrown up from crying so much 😓 Any advice at all would be much appreciated! TIA

I've only managed to stop feeding for a nap so far, I'm scared to try during the night haha. But it really helped us by reading some books about it first. It helped my her understand it a bit better. And I was able to get her used to drinking cows milk so I could give her that with a snack before nap time. I avoided sitting in our rocking chair as she really associates that with feeding and I rocked her, and when she asked for milk I said 'yes we can in a bit but let's have some cuddles first' and she went to sleep after a while. If she really screamed then I'd give in but over a few days it got less and less and now I can just rock her to sleep for a nap. Bedtime is a different story 😅 x

Thank you, I'll give that a go. Good luck with bedtime!
