Biab and c section
Hi everyone ive ended up having to get booked in for a c section next week pre op is 2 days before and my nail appointment is the day before the pre op. I dont want to go and have them done to have to attempt to take them off a few days later for the c section date. Does anyone know if you can have biab on for a c section ? Im reading mixed things online

I had my nails done for my elective section. Had short pink dip powder nails and was no problem. They could get the oxygen reading just fine off my hand but they could also use your toe if worst came to it lol. Not sure why you couldn’t have lashes as above mentioned but I also had my lashes done lol x
I had them - midwife told me they could get whatever reading off toes if needed but they were able to get what they needed from my fingers anyway. I also had lashes 😊
Yeah same as above, lashes and nails done and there was no issue

You can’t no, you can’t have anything on your nails that can mess up the reading. If your index finger is free of Biab then the rest are fine. Same for lashes can’t have them either.
