7 month old breastfeeding

How often should my 7 month old be feeding. I EBF and she still feeds every 3 hours is this ok? Or should I be trying to stretch every 4hours?

My daughter fed hourly on the dot until she was on 3 solid meals a day, then she went to about every 2 hours, she’s 2 now (26mo) and never goes much more than 4hr between feeds

Amazing thank you, I just didn’t know if it was to much and she should be going longer. We are doing baby led weaning and she explores her food but doesn’t eat much. Xx

Milk intake should stay the same up to 12 months, food shouldn’t take over it but you might find she’ll want less milk during the day but more overnight to make up for it :)

At that age my baby still fed hourly. At 18 months he still feeds every hour-2 if we’re at home during the day. Feed on demand I wouldn’t try and stretch anything. Every LO is different and they know what they need, trust them x

I think it is because I hear people saying surely she should be eating more food than that or shouldn’t she be able to go longer without feeds and started to get me worried. But she’s so happy feeding every 3 hrs that’s when she seems to want it and she will explore her food and try some but not all the time but I know food is for Fun xx

Ignore the outside noise. 9/10 it’s from people horribly uneducated about breastfeeding. My son didn’t take any real interest in food until around a year old and now he’s a fab eater and can feed himself etc. 7 months is so so young they don’t need much food at that age it’s just exploration really x

Thank you I’m just going to keep going as I’m going as long as she is happy that’s all that matters xx

Breastmilk should still be 90% percent of babies nutrition. Exploring food is great but doesn't need much yet. You're doing great mama.
