Anti sickness medication

What have people been prescribed that has actually got rid of the nausea? I’m currently bed bound and unable to eat 🫠 I need to call my doctors back tomorrow morning to see if they have a telephone app to discuss alternative meds. Currently on Stemetil but isn’t working. I need to get rid of this so I can properly look after my two year old. Help 🙏🏻

Xonvea!!

Promethazine seems to be working okay for me I’ve been on it since 6 weeks

@Emma thank you! How long have you been using this? Has your nausea completely gone? Was it awful before taking this?

@Faye thank you. So no nausea since starting it?

I was constantly sick before taking it. Diagnosed with HG at 6 weeks (I'm now 10) I was tried on a couple of other meds first but neither worked. Xonvea makes it manageable in the daytime. I'm still wors in an evening and feel nauseous but rarely actually vomit now x

@Emma thank you. It’s just so so hard isn’t it. Feeling very low today and really struggling x

I’d say the nausea is still there, it comes in waves and is a lot manageable but I’m not sick, I was previously being sick about 10 times a day

@Faye awk that’s just awful! I’m glad it’s been helping you a little x

Really hard, I've been the same at times very low. I just try to enjoy the good days when I can. I don't think there's any meds that would completely stop all the nausea unfortunately x

@Emma I can imagine hun. Hope you’re doing better now. If it stops the sickness then I’d be happy at that. X

Thankyou, hope you get sorted! X

@Emma my GP was totally useless. Said if Stemetil and Cyclizine weren’t working then there was nothing else I could be prescribed 😳 she didn’t examine me either. Until I suggested checking my urine. I then asked if I could get Xonvea (which she’d never heard of) and have been on a wild goose chase all day looking for it! But think I’ve found somewhere that has it so hoping it works x

I think they struggle with stocking it in some areas. It's also am expensive drug so I think some GPs are reluctant to prescribe it! Hope it helps you c
