So I won't be surprised if your baby is saying mama
I guess it depends on how she is saying it. Sometimes my little girl will actually look at me and say it. Whereas other times it is very much babbling.
My daughter says Dada and Cat but not Mama...outrageous 🤣 why does everyone get to go before me. She said Mama once but it was a fluke, just babbling. Dada is a definite, she wakes him up hitting him and shouts it, also when he walks in the room. See if she does it appropriately like that x
I agree with Emmo. Our lg has technically been saying Mama for a few months as babbling but I would say it is more recent weeks where she looks at me and says it or if I’m not dishing up her dinner quick enough she says it in a ‘hurry up Mum’ kind of way 😂 I was told they learn their consonants in babbling so Mama, Dada, Nana etc. are common sounds to be making rather than specifically attempting words.
Mine has been babbling mama for months. Deffo just babbling in her case though
My LG was saying mama & dadda loads, and I started going "yes baby" when she called for mumma, and now she says it to call for me. I basically taught her it's a word & has meaning. But there was definitely a time she knew exactly what she was saying & it clicked for both of us
My son says mama, more, yes, no and hi 😂 and he's only 9 months old
