@Vittoria thank you :) it’s still taken me by surprise and trying to get my head around it especially with this being my first but hoping my nerves and anxiety will settle! I’ll give them all a try
@Natalie totally understandable, I'm terrified at every midwife appointment that she'll tell me he's flipped!
My sister did manage to get her 2nd baby to turn at 39 weeks, she says that she spent a week on all 4, head down/bum up! Give it a go and if it all fails, the important thing is that you deliver safely!
@Vittoria exactly, I’ve been told now no more work which is fine! I’ve got a week to prepare thankfully the bags are done ect now anyway :) xx
Hey, just be aware that them trying to move him may not work in which case you can wait right the way up to 40 weeks to hope he turns, or, you could opt for an elective c-section? I wanted an all natural birth with only gas and air so the idea of a c-section terrifies me but my baby was breech at 36 weeks and my ECV to turn him failed. Cesarian was never an option for me originally but as someone with anxiety I appreciate having a definite date and plan and avoid uncertainity on the day/emergency c-section Not trying to influence your choice but there are other options. Also, not possible transverse but if he gets head up then you can have a vaginal breech birth! Best of luck mama x
@Cake yeah absolutely. I have always said i would do whatever it takes to get him here safe and healthy and for us both to be safe and well. It’s just all a lot hospitals scare not in general, I have been on cbt therapy for it, not the thought that everything I had roughly “planned” has been scrapped and yeah. Don’t get me wrong I totally appreciate the fact that birthing plans are only likely to a certain extent as it’s whatever happens on the day. I think I just feel like what I thought I had control over has kinda been taken away within one scan and this whole new ball game is now being planned After a miscarriage last year around this time it’s also very scary as that also had to be induced! 🙈
Mine was head down for weeks and when i went for my growth scan last tues at 36 he flipped to breach, i had tongo for another dcan before i met my my consultant on tuesday and the flipped back to head down again so ive booked in for my section on thursday cos I also have excess fluid thats increasing but hes definitely a mover so would be supprised if he moved again!
Lots of cat/cow, forward leaning and praying that he turns? Spinning babies have a few suggestions. Good luck and fingers crossed for you!!
