Moving from Cot to Bed

My little boy has been in a bed since about 17 months because he learnt how to climb out of his cot🤦‍♀️ his room is toddler proofed and he has a baby gate and his door closed to stop him escaping, he has his monitor mounted to the wall so we can still see and hear him. No advise about how to do the transition because my little boy went straight into his bed no problem he loved it, I would recommend getting a bed guard because the first night he fell out and he would not go back to sleep

We put my daughter in a bed from around 18 months. She loved it. She does get out of bed in the morning and comes into us. Apart from going to toilet she does not really get out of it during the night. Still have a camera in the room. We did used to have a gate at the top of the stairs, but we recently moved house and have not bothered here and no issues :) he will probs love it! My daughter is nearly 3 and has a double bed now xx

When you think is the right time. My oldest didn't go in one till after he was 2 he wasn't ready. But when he moved on his bed he had a bed guard and knew not to lean over it and not to be getting out of bed when it's bed time. This baby went in ages ago and he was running wild lol finally he's settled x
