I did from 5.5 months and in a week or so he was sleeping at least 9 hours straight in his own room. We still haven’t mastered the naps though 😵💫 Agree that consistency is key and having a routine too (ie the same bedtime every night, bath and a feed before, etc)
Thanks ladies , what about the night feed? He still wakes up every 3 hours for feed
In my case I realised that he wasn’t waking up because he was hungry but rather for comfort so I tried not feeding him immediately when he wake up and rather patting him or holding him for a bit and putting him down again and most of the times he would settle. Make sure he eats well before going to sleep and that will help him sleep longer.
He has slept through for over a month now but as above, I didn't go immediately and gave him time to self-settle. If it escalated to crying then I fed him.
Thank you so much!!!
Yes I sleep trained both of mine at around 4-5 months. My main advice would be research different methods and see what suits you and your baby best. And consistency is key. Here is an overview of different methods so you can see what might suit you. https://huckleberrycare.com/blog/sleep-training-infants-how-to-methods-and-tips
