How do you show your toddler you love them?

I try my best to make sure my toddler knows I love him, and I’m pretty sure he knows I do, but I realised we all have different ways of showing we love people. I’m most interested at the minute as we have a newborn and I want to make sure he’s ok. I also found this interesting article about ways that toddlers tend to show their love https://www.thebump.com/a/ways-toddlers-show-love

I tell him?

I have a newborn too. I tell my toddler all the time that I love her and she makes me happy. I offer physical affection but don't force it. I ask her to play with me and tell her how much I enjoy it. We make sure we have one on one time with her. Every night when I say night I thank her for such a fun day or a particular thing. Xx

@Hayley I love how you thank her for a particular thing. I think it’s so important to be specific x

I also have a new baby and know what you mean. I talk really positively to new baby about her so she can overhear, like saying she’s a kind big sister, she’s clever, how much I love them both, etc. I tell her I love her all the time, lots of cuddles when she wants them, thank her for our time together etc 🥰

@Jess love this x
