Holding rocking to sleep

Those who are holding or rocking to sleep, can you ever see them settling in their cot bed awake on their own? I can't! He just stands up and runs around it. I have been holding him to sleep on the sofa opposite his cot bed since the day he was born, but he's taking an hour to fall asleep and just rolls around on me during that time before shutting his eyes eventually. People say it might be because he wants to sleep on his own, that's not true at all as I've tried!

I honestly can’t see my daughter doing it at any point which scares me x

Same but now my little boy doesn't want me holding him, so I put him in his cot and he just messes around for a whole hour before he finally stays laying down and I rub his back or hand until he falls asleep 😵‍💫 i can't see him ever falling asleep independently 😭😭😭

I don't see my LG falling asleep independently but somehow she does at nursery

@Claudia same as my little boy. They lay him down and he sleeps instantly 😒🫠😂

Nope! My first born was the same - she does fall asleep not in my arms now 😂😂 and has since she was 18 months ish but I still lie in bed with her for 15-30 mins until she’s asleep. I imagine baby #2 will be the same!
