I’m so tired as she has allergies and my diet has been restricted for months now and I’m also trying to work and get her into nursery.. that’s going to be hard as she’s still breastfeeding 🥹
@Temi we still feed at night and she literally tries to pull my boob out to feed. A lot of it is comfort but I'm just very ready to have my boobs back 😂
Omg!! Same here We need to get them off the boob asap 🥲
My girl drinks water in a straw cup so i tried that with pumped milk and first couple days she drank it in place of my boob for her 2 naps, then decided nope and she just spat it out everywhere so we just stopped milk in the day and she goes all day on food. No cows milk or breastmilk. I upped her food and also gave her full fat greek yoghurt before naps to make sure she gets calcium. She was also a contact napper so i had to break this habit at the same time as boob as she fed to sleep. 2 weeks in and she naps in the pram now and only feeds at night
Like Rachael I wouldn’t suggest trying to replace it with milk in another form because they’ll see breastfeeding as comfort and they won’t get that from a bottle or cup or whatever it is and it’ll probably upset them more. My LG stopped breastfeeding after spending a night at my MIL’s. I picked her up in the morning and she didn’t want to know anymore and that was that x
@Rachael thank you so much.. I’ll try reduce breastfeeding during the day and see how it goes
@Aaliyah a friend of mine did this and it worked but I have no family around to help with this.. might have to let her cry it out and see how it goes. Thank you so much
@Temi i wouldnt say cry it out as that can just cause distress in both her and you. It took a rough few days for her to settle with no boob, it was made harder as she fed to sleep and contact napped every time. I tried her with the milk in the straw cup first, and then gave yoghurt as i know she loves that and it can be filling, then in the pram and rocked her. If she whinged id keep rocking, could take 2 minutes could take 15😂 but if she started actually crying and getting upset id take her out and have a cuddle, then retry when she was settled. Only thing i didnt give in on was the boob. She started to associate the pram with naps and now goes down a lot easier
Following! I'm desperate to stop breastfeeding now she's nearly 1
