I sacrificed/delegated doing some household chores for my 3 times a week workout. Sanity over cleanliness I guess. It also helped that my classes were after 7 pm so the husband was home and helped me catch a break.
I’m 11 weeks postpartum and I’m also struggling to manage everything as a first time mom. I’ve been doing afternoon walks before bedtime 2-3 times a week walking 1-2 miles. Also during my walks I do lunges and squats. After I feed my baby at 4am I do a 30 minute pilates workout on YouTube. I have been sacrificing my sleep to at least get a workout in
Aside from going on walks, I left going to gym until baby was a little older. I prioritized sleep in the early days/weeks! My second I went back to the gym at 6 months (however she was also born during covid so 💁♀️), my third I went back at 3 months
I do it late at night, even if it’s only for 15 minutes. I also try to go on long walks when it’s nice outside. I haven’t lost much but at least it make me feel better.
Ymca child watch, or nap time. Granted I didn't find time till 7months pp
Sometimes I just skip chores for a specific nap time 🤷🏻♀️ . Or take the baby for a walk. Or squat with your baby, do some pushups, get yourself moving while you’re figuring out a routine. Don’t aim for perfection - do you have 10 mins somewhere? Do something quick. Check YouTube for the time you feel you can give: “10,15,20 min postpartum workout” and if you only get 5 mins in, celebrate it!!
