I can’t do any walks longer than just pottering about right now cos they make my Braxton hicks go WILDDDD, and my bump feels so tight and sore! But I’m still managing some reformer Pilates and light weight sessions! I defo think it’ll help labour and recover, and also keep us mentally stable for these last few weeks 🤣🤣 xxx
I had done crossfit and cycling throughout my entire first pregnancy and it did bugger all in terms of earlier labour (gave birth at 41+5) but had a brilliant, quick recovery (after a c-section) so being active is definitely something that pays off! Sadly, this time I've had a much harder pregnancy so exercise has been much more sparse... Need to hit the gym a few times before this baby comes though, if for nothing else, for my mental health!
First pregnancy I was very active til 39 weeks and altho my birth was long and hard the recovery wasn’t too bad physically. This time round barely been able to do much with a toddler and pain, apart from walks so we shall see if there’s a difference!
I've done CrossFit all through my pregnancy and walk the dogs an hour every day. I'm really hoping it will help baby come out easier but no idea if science backs that. But your stamina will surely help during the birth 🤞🏼
