Always unhappy & tired

Our little one has just turned 16 months but she always seems so unhappy and tired. It's making things so difficult at the moment. She sleeps great through the night but during the day she's just sooo sleepy and always seems really unhappy with everything we do. Anyone else in the same boat?

How much sleep in she having during the day and during the night? Since my daughter started properly walking Im noticing she is so tired! Shes sleeping almost 12 hours at night (before this would have been 10.5-11.5 with the average being 11) and still napping 2-2.5 hours a day, before this might only have been 1.5 hours. Basically her total sleep in 24 hours is about 1-1.5 hours more than it was before! Sometimes she even needs two naps where shes been on one nap since February

My lb only seems happy when we are outside at the moment. Agree with @CeeCee though about the walking thing, it has really upset my lb to the point he isn’t sleeping through anymore, still getting his 12 hours over night though which means he’s up late most mornings and throws our whole routine out. Still napping 2-2.5hrs during the day. Before walking he would do 11/12hrs overnight without waking up x

@CeeCee Goes to bed at 7pm and wakes around 5:30/6ish. First nap: 9:30 for 1.5 hours Second nap: 2/2:30-4ish. She just so tired and grumpy and always whinging at the moment. Can't seem to do anything to keep her happy.

I would plan a couple of really busy mornings, trolley ride round the supermarkets, soft play etc and try and aim for one bigger nap in the middle of the day and a long wake time stretch before her bedtime xx

@Storme I physically cannot keep her awake until lunchtime. If I put her in the car, she will fall asleep, same with the pram x

When we were in this boat I had to have her somewhere she couldnt fall asleep eg in a high chair in M&S cafe, or in a shopping trolley, then she would crash in the car at the right time on the way home, that really helped us
