I've missed the deadline to get a specialized bike for my kids. We could modify a regular bike but it could be costly. Is it worth it to do or should we wait until next year to get the specialized bike?

They have been doing some bike riding at school with their PT but we have not bought them bikes in the past due to safety issues.

Newborn care

I know it can vary depending on cultural traditions, but I'm curious to know - do you like having someone look after your newborn in the first few weeks (eg. your mother, MIL, aunt etc) or would you rather just be supported to look after your baby yourself? I would rather have someone just cook, clean and hold the ...

Mid-Wilshire infant Daycare Recs?

Hi mamas, do you have recs for infant daycare in the mid-Wilshire/South Carthay area? Willing to go up to Melrose/La Brea and down to West Adams-ish. Iā€™m sad we have to send our little boy to daycare so soon, but one of our care options fell through šŸ˜¢ really hoping to find him a clean, loving care where itā€™s notā€¦

What do I do lol!!!!

I'm feeling a bit confused about childcare and work! When my son turns 9 months, heā€™ll be entitled to 15 hours of free childcare, so he can start nursery. In September, heā€™ll qualify for 30 hours, but I donā€™t want to work full-timeā€”part-time works better. I also want to be self-employed and earn enough to live comfo...

Funded hours and consumable cost

My son is now able to get 30hours free child care we had been looking forward to this as it would really cut down on the cost of child care since we have 2 toddlers. However we were hit with a bill for ā€œconsumablesā€ at almost 30Ā£ a day!! I have since found that this cost is voluntary and should not be a prerequisi...

Nursery fees - am I being scammed?

Hi, am I being scammed? My nursery fees are Ā£63.75 a day and Iā€™m sending me LO for 3 days a week so Ā£63.75 x 3 days a week x 52 weeks a year / 12 months = Ā£828.75 a month. My nursery with the 15 free hours are calculations my invoice by giving me the first day free and then are charging me Ā£12 an hour for a 10.5 h...
